I manage our trading subsidiary, which owns a number of generating assets that provide a financial return to support the charitable work of CES. As part of this, I manage the operations of a windfarm in the Scottish Borders where CES Trading owns a 1/3rd stake.
Most of my work involves carrying out feasibility, consultancy and project management work for private and community clients through CES Trading. Before being promoted to this role, I co-ordinated the CES delivery of the ReFLEX project which included organising the setup of the Kirkwall Pier car club. I have a Masters degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from Imperial College London and I’m a member of the IET.
I have years of experience working on innovative projects that aim to improve the electricity network in the UK. I helped deliver an MSC course on renewable technology at ICIT and I’m proud to have won the Achievement award at the Young Professional Green Energy Awards in 2019.
I have been driving electric vehicles for over 6 years. I am always striving to improve my skills in order to be able to contribute more to society. I am compassionate, logical, and I have a keen eye for detail. I can often be found crocheting novelty items, attempting to grow vegetables and looking after a flock of chickens and ducks.
